About this resource
The Freedom Fund takes the safeguarding of both the people we serve and our own staff incredibly seriously. We have established systems to ensure that power isn’t being abused and vulnerability isn’t exploited. Our comprehensive Safeguarding Policy is compliant with the International Standards for Safeguarding and is reviewed and updated every three years. We also ask all of our funded implementing partners to use versions of this policy that suit their jurisdictions. In addition, we have a Safeguarding Manager, based in our London headquarters, and Safeguarding Focal Points in each geography where we work, to ensure that all our safety measures are understood, implemented, and regularly reviewed and updated by grantees.
